Love art? There is a facility about 20 miles north of Wilmington and near Topsail Island you’ll want to visit. Located on U.S. Highway 17 about a 10 minute-drive from the Surf City swing bridge is ArtExposure!. Look for it just south of Lowe’s Home Improvement store at the intersection of U.S. 17 and N.C. Highway 210.
The gallery promotes local artists and crafters. ArtExposure’s 5,000-square-foot building hosts classrooms, studios, gallery exhibits and events.
Studio space is available for lease to chosen artists who must be willing to work in their studios while the public watches. Juried artists also may apply for wall space.
Classes for adults and children in a variety of media and techniques are offered and an art supply store is on site. There also is a shop featuring affordable gifts hand-crafted by local artists.
Custom framing, featuring a full supply of frames, archival matting and backing boards, is done on-site too. Feel free to browse through the studios to see all that is available.
