Waterfront Restaurants at Wrightsville Beach

Visitors will find two beautiful oceanfront restaurants on Wrightsville Beach, one to the north and one at the south end of the island. Oceans is located on North Lumina Avenue on the second floor of the Holiday Inn Resort. The restaurant has a full bar, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week and overlooks a very large swimming pool and outdoor deck with a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean beyond. In addition to seafood, steaks, salads and pasta, the restaurant offers a large selection of toppings for pizzas which are baked on the premises.

If you’re in the mood for lighter fare, try Gabby’s Lounge, also at Holiday Inn. Gabby’s serves cocktails seven days a week.

The Oceanic Restaurant is on South Lumina Avenue with three floors of indoor seating as well as outdoor dining on a long pier, weather permitting, all overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily, and serves Sunday brunch as well. Steaks, chicken and pasta are all available at dinner. However, the restaurant is a classic seafood house specializing in fresh, local seafood served either broiled or fried Calabash style, and if you love seafood, have it here. Lunch is comprised of large salads, sandwiches, seafood baskets and seafood platters. The Oceanic also offers an extensive family style to go menu and visitors can order ahead from the take out menu. The Oceanic has a full bar.

Another great spot on the water is South Beach Grill, located on Lumina Avenue overlooking Banks Channel at the center of Wrightsville Beach. Indoor as well as outdoor seating is available and the restaurant has a full bar, a thoughtful wine selection and an interesting assortment of beer. You’ll find consistently tasty food on the extensive menu, with everything from delicious sandwiches and wraps to very fresh salads to seafood entrees of all types offered. Unique dishes are fried pickles done in a secret batter and a seafood nachos platter that is a delicious way to start a meal. For dinner, grouper Linda has been a restaurant specialty for 13 years. Other popular choices are sweet potato crusted flounder and an eggplant and shrimp stack. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily except in winter, when it is closed Monday.
