French Restaurants
Caprice Bistro, owned by proprietors Patricia and Thierry Moity, has been designated Wilmington’s best French restaurant for the last several years. New Yorkers who are visiting Wilmington will be right at home here; the restaurant feels like it belongs in Greenwich Village. That’s not an accident: the Moitys owned Café de Bruxelles, a highly regarded bistro in New York. Excellent food at moderate prices is offered here, and you’ll find the best mussels in Wilmington at Caprice. Caprice is open for dinner at 5:00 p.m. daily.
On the informal side with a French flair, Brasserie du Soleil (Eatery of the Sun) serves both lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday and dinner on Sunday. There hungry shoppers and Red Hat ladies enjoy midday repasts selected from a delightful array of sandwiches, crepes, soups, and - best of all - Brasserie salads made to order from a selection of more than 30 fresh ingredients. The dinner menu starts with delectable offerings from the raw bar and appetizers. Entrees and daily specials feature beef and seafood cooked to perfection. The dessert tray defies resistance. The restaurant is located in Lumina Station on Eastwood Road near Wrightsville Beach. |
