Midtown’s Favorite Spot

After you’ve finished shopping at Independence Mall, treat yourself to lunch or dinner at Henry’s. Located at the corner of Shipyard and Independence Boulevards in Barclay Commons, the restaurant serves classic American fare.

A very large selection of salads, sandwiches, soups and luncheon plates are offered midday, with half-pound burgers topped with mushroom gravy and served with mashed potatoes, and shrimp and grits among the favorites. In the evening, a roast chicken dinner comprised of a whole rotisserie double breast of chicken, or homemade meatloaf, each! served with mashed potatoes, vegetable of the day and dirty gravy, are always in demand. Seafood choices include coconut shrimp, lump crab cake and a fresh catch that changes daily. Included with all entrees are a house salad or soup. Seafood fettuccini, four-cheese penne pasta and fettuccini with grilled chicken, bacon, onions, and mushrooms in a parmesan cheese sauce are always on the menu due to constant demand. “Two-handed” sandwiches and several entree salads are other choices.

Henry’s has a full bar with $5.00 appetizers from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and after 9:00 p.m. each day. Live music begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening and brunch, featuring both breakfast and lunch selections, is offered on Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Henry’s opens at 11:00 a.m. Sunday through Friday.
