Brand New Compass Pointe

One of the newest major developments in the Wilmington area is Compass Pointe, a community set on 2,200 acres on the highest point in Brunswick County. The gated community will have a 27-hole golf course, an 18-hole putting course, two amenity centers, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, a dog park, bike trails and a launch for canoes and kayaks.

Rick Robbins has designed the golf course in a style similar to what is found in Pinehurst, not to copy that area but because the topography and vegetation at Compass Pointe is like that of the sandhills region of North Carolina.

Compass Pointe is located ten miles from Historic Downtown Wilmington on Highway 74/76W. Village shops are planned and a number of lakes are scattered throughout the property.

Numerous housing options are offered, from villas and cottages priced in the low $200,000 to reserve patio homes from $277,000 to the jewel collection from $330,000. Those who choose to build custom homes are welcome to do so too.

Compass Pointe is an Audubon International Gold Signature Community. The developers have preserved more than 70 acres as a sanctuary for native plants and wildlife.
