Ethnic Festivals

Annual festivals with an ethnic flavor include Festival Latino held in Hugh MacRae Park, celebrating the music, dance, arts, crafts and food of the Latin-American community.

The Greek Festival is held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and features the food, traditional dances, music, and wines of the Greek Isles. Homemade Greek pastries are prepared by church members and are sold by the thousands each year.

Cape Fear River Festivities

The Fourth of July Riverfront Celebration features a street fair along the riverfront and culminates with spectacular fireworks over the river from Battleship Park. The hallmarks of the Port of Wilmington Maritime Day Festival are entertainment and tours of the port.

Many additional festivals take place in the beach communities and other areas surrounding Wilmington. Check our website, www.wilmingtontoday.com, for information on upcoming events throughout the year.
