When you’re in the mood for fork-tender veal dishes topped with wonderful sauces, make your way to Rafaella, a new Italian restaurant located in a beautiful building on Wrightsville Avenue near Oleander Drive. Owned by former New Yorkers who operated a restaurant of the same name in Greenwich Village, you’ll find food of exceptional quality at surprisingly moderate prices.

Among the superb dishes are a daily risotto cooked to order, veal scallopine in a marsala or Madeira sauce, sauteed shrimp and chorizo over polenta, and an appetizer of baked oysters that is outstanding. Homemade sorbets (try the blackberry if it’s available) and decadent chocolate desserts are featured. Rafaella is open for lunch, Sunday brunch and dinner.
