Furniture & Furnishings
Many of the newcomers who move to the Wilmington area each year leave most, if not all of their furniture behind, either because they choose to start over or because shipping costs are expensive given the current price of gas. And it’s always fun to have a reason to shop. The Furniture Company, a family owned and operated. 25,000 square foot store on Market Street, is a good place to start. In business for almost 10 years, the stores hires experienced sales people who are not on commission and therefore don’t hover over you. There are a tremendous number of choices from manufacturers such as Bassett, Kincaid, Fairfield Chair, Hekman and too many others to enumerate. From chairs, to lamps, to tables (whether dining, kitchen, occasional or end), to beds, to sofas, to library walls, there is a vast array on display.
